About Cudahy Kennel Club

An all-breed AKC club running classes and trials since 1972

Cudahy Kennel Club "is an all-breed AKC dog club that has been in the community since 1972," based in St. Francis, Wisconsin, about five miles south of Milwaukee. It provides classes "for purebred and mixed breed dogs in many areas of training, from the very basics to competing in a variety of sports and events."

Disciplines

The published discipline list is broad: agility, barn hunt, conformation, Fast CAT and CAT, fetch, obedience and rally, scent work, and special testing. Alongside training classes the club runs practice run-throughs and hosts numerous trials and events, including AKC Temperament Tests, barn hunt trials and fetch tests. Its own training facility is also available for rental.

How to join a class

Classes run in sessions with a published schedule and fees page. New sessions are announced with an in-person sign-up night where prospective students can "learn more about each class and get help deciding which will be the best fit for your dog and you," and other sign-up routes are published as well. The club also runs volunteering and membership programs. Its stated character is the reason most owners pick a club over a commercial trainer: "At Cudahy Kennel Club, you can build a bond with your dog in a safe, positive, and friendly environment."
