About Ultimate K9

Family and estate protection dogs

Ultimate K9 is a family-owned protection dog training facility serving Milwaukee and Wisconsin, with clients across the United States and internationally. The business sells and trains fully trained family protection dogs and estate protection dogs, and also offers protection dog training for existing dogs. The pitch is explicit about the brief: "You are not looking for 'just a guard dog.' You need a dog that can live in your world, protect on command, and still be steady enough for daily life."

Breeds and program

The site states it specializes in street training German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Rottweilers, Irish Staffords and American Pit Bull Terriers. Every dog is described as personally selected, hand raised and protection trained by the founder "until they have completed his comprehensive protection dog street training program." Programs are said to focus on real-world performance, and the same training pipeline is described as covering police and private security work as well as family placements. A VIP list gives prospective buyers early access to dogs as they become available, and new clients start with a private consultation.

Background

Ultimate K9 was founded by Patrick McDonnell, who the site credits with more than 42 years of experience in protection dog training and as "the founder and developer of REAL WORLD STREET TRAINING, founded in the early 1980s." Stability around family life is a stated selection criterion: the site emphasizes not wanting "an unstable dog around your children, guests, or other pets."
