Dialogue Dog Training
Overview
About Dialogue Dog Training
The Dialogue method
Dialogue Dog Training in Florence teaches Dialogue, a method developed by Judy Moore and described as effective two-way communication between a dog and its person. The program starts from the view that a dog's anxiety is the main obstacle to obedience, and that behaviors read as stubborn, timid or aggressive are symptoms of that anxiety. Dialogue is offered for aggressive behaviors, separation anxiety, stranger aggression, shyness and timidity, and basic obedience training.
Clinics and self-training
Judy Moore runs two-day training clinics, where most of the time goes to teaching the owner rather than the dog. For self-training at home, owners study the book Dogs Deserve Dialogue and the Right Solution Dog Training DVD, then practice a structure of exercises (sit, down, stand, stay, come, heel) for 10 to 15 minutes a day. Owners at a distance can send video clips for coaching over Skype. Published prices include the DVD at $39.95, the video download at $29.95, the book at $19.95, the eBook at $14.95 and topic videos at $19.95.
