About Discover Canine Dog Training

What they offer

Discover K9 Dog Training is a family-owned board and train business in North Mississippi. Its home page lists four programs: basic obedience (leash manners, sit, down, come, calm behavior at home), companion dog training for families who want to take their dog on outings, advanced and off-leash training for owners who want to take the dog anywhere, and continuing education covering reinforcement training, behavior improvement and custom preparation for emotional support or therapy dogs. The site takes both dogs and puppies.

How the training works

The About page says dogs do not stay in a facility: they live in the trainers' home for 4-6 weeks and receive daily, one-on-one training focused on calm behavior at home, reliable obedience, real-life distractions, confidence and focus. Before the dog goes home, the owners are trained to continue the work, and the site describes support after training.

Location

The site describes the business as located between Oxford and Tupelo, and its address is on MS-341 near Pontotoc. The home page says it has served families for 23 years; the About page says over 20 years.
