About Dog Psychology and Training Center – East Texas
Board and train in Brownsboro
Dog Psychology and Training Center, also known as East Texas Dog Training, serves greater Brownsboro, Tyler and Athens with a focus on bringing calm and harmony back to the home. Trainer Samantha Nyhus began her career as a horse trainer and coach before earning a degree in Animal Biology, and she competes in dog sports and conformation events.
How the program works
The process starts with a free discovery call, followed by a plan for the dog's goals and then training plus owner coaching to keep results in place. During board and train the dog stays in the loving home of its trainer for a fully immersive experience. Programs include training for the humans, go-home orientations, a follow-up lesson, "Livability" commands such as naming rooms, access to an online client portal, and training equipment including an e-collar system. Clients mention 2-week and 3-week board and train programs, and common goals include leash pulling, counter surfing, jumping on guests, house soiling and destructive chewing.
What owners say
One client wrote that their golden retriever is "the same happy pup she was before – just much better behaved."
