Dog Training Nerds
Overview
About Dog Training Nerds
Dog Training Nerds runs in-home sessions in Raleigh alongside a wider force-free trainer network and an online course. What makes it unusual locally is that it publishes its whole price list rather than asking for a call first.
Published programs and prices
In-home sessions are $200 an hour after the first visit, and a virtual puppy session is $100 for sixty minutes. A one-week immersive board-and-train is $1,500 and takes place "in the warmth and comfort of the lead trainer's home," building sit, stay, come, a release cue, place for calm, leash-walking foundations and door, greeting and meal manners, with a two-hour owner handoff included. The two-week version is $3,000 and adds proofing – "sit/stay/place with duration, recall with distractions, leash walking in public spaces, calm 'ignore dogs' skills at safe distances." A premium in-home board-and-train, also $3,000 for a week, house-sits and trains in the dog's own home "where habits happen (doors, windows, routines)." A service dog track starts at $5,000 with a custom plan and a required consultation.
Method
The FAQ answers the equipment question directly: "Do you use e-collars? No. We use positive reinforcement only – no e-collar, ever." The suggested starting point is a free fifteen-minute call; puppies are steered toward the virtual session and leash-pulling or dog-reactivity goals toward an in-home first visit.
Who it’s best for
Best for owners who want to see the price before the phone call, and who specifically want a force-free board-and-train.
