About Doggie Du Good

Doggie Du Good publishes a proper class menu rather than a single training page, and the spread is wider than most: board training, group obedience, private dog training, Canine Good Citizen and agility, with boarding alongside.

The mix of formats

Having group obedience, private lessons and board training all available from one business is useful if you are not sure which suits your dog, and agility gives the dogs that finish obedience somewhere to go next. Canine Good Citizen is run as its own class.

The people

Two members of the team are named on the site, Melissa Connelly and Karen Smalley, each with a page of their own, and the business describes itself in the plural as a team rather than a single trainer. Policies and payment are published.

Tone

The site opens with a quotation from the novelist Edward Hoagland about the point of a dog not being to train him to be semi-human, which sets the register better than a service list would.
