About Doggy Playcare

Doggy Playcare is a daycare and training center on Maple Avenue in Saratoga Springs, and it is the largest indoor training space published in the city – about 6,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor room.

Training alongside daycare

The two halves are genuinely separate products on the site rather than one dressed as the other: there is a Training section with its own information, photos and forms and a Facebook training group, and a Doggy Daycare section with its own schedule, video tour, policies and FAQs. The published training is group and private classes "designed to give you the tools to become the owner of a balanced dog," and the site's own description of the method is "positive training techniques and the 10 Playcare games."

The 10 Playcare Games

This is the facility's own named curriculum and it is published openly – the site carries a free video library covering the games, leadership training, puppy training and a training questions-and-answers section. An owner can see the approach before booking, which is rare locally.

Who runs it

The site names Jody Cracco as owner and Playcare trainer and states that she is a certified trainer with the IACP – the International Association of Canine Professionals – and a CGC evaluator, and that she has long been involved in training and breeding Golden Retrievers. Both credentials are recorded as the business's own claims: IACP and AKC are not among the registries this build can verify against.

Practicalities

Daycare runs Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm, with the doors closed between noon and 2pm for lunch and nap time. Both daycare and training start with a meet and greet or a training consultation rather than a direct booking.
