About Dogkine

From marine mammals to family dogs

Dogkine is a dog training business in South Miami run by former marine mammal and exotic animal behaviorists. The team cites over 50 years of combined experience and lists work for or with SeaWorld, Dolphin Quest, Marineland France, the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program, the FBI, DHS and the Miami Seaquarium. It uses science-based methods built on trust and clear communication, and focuses on teaching owners how to guide their dog's behavior.

Programs

The menu includes private lessons, board and train programs and private home school programs, plus service and therapy dog preparation, advanced obedience and other specialized training. Common goals include calm door greetings, loose-lead walking and reliable recall under distraction. For professionals, Dogkine offers K9 and agency consulting, handler coaching and seminars. It also offers boarding in the family's own home. The process starts with a free phone consultation in English or Spanish, then an in-home consultation.
