About Dogland

What they offer

Dogland, also known as Arie's Dogland, is a training, daycare and grooming facility on Washington Street NE in Albuquerque, built to help raise and socialize puppies into non-reactive adult dogs. It has won local readers' choice awards for dog training.

Training

Options cover new puppies through adult dogs with problem behaviors: private sessions with the owner, Arie, reactive dog packages, classes and a puppy jump-start package. Arie has taught obedience and behavior modification since 2006, is a member of a professional dog trainers' association and an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and offers discounted private sessions for foster dogs.

Approach

Training is reward-based, with natural behavior modification and a holistic approach that includes diet and stress reduction. The facility says it does not use fear or punishment-based methods, prong collars, choke chains or e-collars. Playgroup daycare and grooming are also offered.
