About Sandia Dog Obedience Club Inc

What they offer

Sandia Dog Obedience Club is an all-volunteer training club in Albuquerque that offers classes for all dogs, purebred or mixed breed. Members sign up for classes and drills through the club, and an obedience registrar handles obedience, conformation and freestyle registrations.

Obedience classes

The obedience track starts with a baby puppy foundations class for puppies from 7 to 12 weeks, based on a well-known puppy-raising program, and a kindergarten puppy class that covers socialization, loose-leash walking, house training and chewing and can earn the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy award. Basic obedience is an eight-week class for dogs six months and older that also teaches public manners, and later classes prepare dogs for the Canine Good Citizen test and obedience competition.

Sports

The club also teaches agility, rally, scent work, tracking and conformation classes. Check the club's upcoming classes for current dates.
