About Dogs Do Learn

A family-run business

Dogs Do Learn is a family-run dog training and care business in Coon Rapids. Its core belief is that dogs do learn because their owners can be trained: almost every problem a dog has comes from the people influencing it, so any owner willing to change their habits can change their dog's behavior. Training usually takes place at the owner's home anywhere in the Minneapolis area.

Services

Alongside training, which covers both sport and behavior modification, the family offers daycare at their house in a family environment with walks and playtime, dog walking in their Coon Rapids neighborhood, and grooming. The family keeps Sabbath on Saturday, so Friday night and Saturday are reserved for caring for the dogs already in their care.

The team

Owner and head trainer Katie has trained dogs since 2010 and professionally since 2018, and was a volunteer dog trainer for the Hennepin Heelers 4-H club for five years. Her sisters Anna and Lizzy help with training, walking and daycare.

What owners say

One client wrote that during a 10-day stay their dog "received great care, learned more desireable behaviors, learned to run on a treadmill and more!"
