Training-based daycare in Gresham

DogTown at 1975 SE 1st Street in Gresham offers daycare, boarding and training built on positive reinforcement, and describes itself as Gresham's dog care facility "since 2006." Owner and lead trainer Stacy Dickinson, CPDT-KA, CTDI, CGC Evaluator, is credited with over 25 years of experience and holds multiple AKC Obedience, Rally and Agility titles.

Classes

Puppy S.T.A.R. ($235, 6 weeks) covers basic obedience, socialization and bite inhibition for puppies under 6 months, with AKC Puppy S.T.A.R. certification for those who pass. Beginning and Intermediate Obedience are $215 for 6 weeks each, and Calm & Collected ($235) is a course for reactive dogs. Agility runs at three levels ($215, 6 weeks), Rally and Canine Fitness drop-ins are $20 per session, and Tricks and Fitness is $215. Private lessons are $65 for 30 minutes.

Daycare and enrichment

Daycare staff teach basic obedience, manners and tricks during the day, and the P.L.A.Y. program adds science-based enrichment that is recommended for puppies. Attendants are pet first aid certified.
