About E-Z K9

E-Z K9 LLC is at 4553 Technology Dr, unit #4, Wilmington, NC 28405, and its whole pitch rests on one idea: "Once a dog understands the language of 'yes' and 'no', the possibilities are endless. At E-Z K9, we help you 'speak dog'."

How a client starts

Everything begins with a free evaluation, which the site says is normally a $175 service. The published sequence is an evaluation of the dog's current behavior and temperament, a "report of findings" explaining what is causing the unwanted behavior, then a first training lesson in which the approach is demonstrated with the owner present. A custom program is built from that.

What they work on

The published list of problems the business takes on is dog and human aggression, reactivity, hyperactivity, crate training, potty training, personal protection, AKC certified evaluation, leash pulling, chewing, excessive barking, biting, counter surfing, separation anxiety, fearful behavior and resource guarding. The stated specialty is narrower than the list: "AKC certified professional dog trainers with a specialized focus on anxiety, aggression, reactivity".

What comes with it

Programs include a year of unlimited group classes so the dog can keep socializing and learning "while supervised by a professional dog trainer". The business says it has been serving Wilmington and the surrounding area for over five years, and publishes a long service-area list running from Castle Hayne and Wrightsville Beach down to Southport, Oak Island, Calabash and Sunset Beach.
