About Einstein’s Canine College

Einstein's Canine College, LLC is at 1635 Wellington Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401. It is a class-based school – the site publishes class descriptions, class policies, a registration and schedule link, and private lessons alongside the group program.

What the site publishes

The current highlight is a newly added Day School program. Private lessons are available from either of the two trainers, each of whom publishes her own contact address. The site has a standing page titled "What is Balanced Dog Training?", which is where it sets out its approach.

Who teaches

Two trainers are named: Julie Benoit and Samantha Stevens. Julie's page describes a therapy-dog team with her own dog Cleo at New Hanover Regional Medical Center since 2009, a community health fair and a Hanover Kennel Club education and safety booth, and seminar attendance including a two-day Ian Dunbar seminar in 2013. Samantha's page describes joining NC Rottweiler Rescue – first adopting, then fostering, then becoming their rehabilitation trainer for fearful dogs – and lists work as a former trainer for the Cape Fear chapter of Pets for Vets, a chapter the page says closed in 2023. Both are described as owner-handlers of rehabilitated dogs, with Certified Pet Emergency credentials listed.

The therapy-dog and service-dog work on those pages is the trainers' own dogs and past volunteer history; ask whether the school offers it as a program.
