Force-free training

Empowered Paws Dog Training uses force-free, reward-based methods, and its home page says it helps with everything from the basics to more advanced behavioral issues. Private one-on-one sessions take place in the client's home or on site at Our Pal's Place Daycare, Boarding & Training Facility at 9533 Main Street in Woodstock. In-home training covers Cobb, Cherokee and Fulton counties.

Courses

The services page lists a Good Manners Course (sit, polite greetings, leash manners), a Puppy Manners Course (house training, chewing and biting, leave it) and an Individualized Training Program built around the topics a dog needs.

The trainer

The about page profiles Amanda Wilkinson, who has worked with and trained dogs since 2009 as a volunteer with the Our Pal's Place rescue, where she leads its K9 coach team, and who also worked as the full-time in-house trainer at its daycare and training facility. Call (678) 304-0438.
