About Encouraging Canines

Positive reinforcement training in Beaverton

Encouraging Canines is the training business of Thailyr (Ty) Jaegersen, CPDT-KA, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer based in Beaverton. She offers in-home training in Beaverton and surrounding areas and online training from anywhere, aimed at strengthening the human-canine bond through positive reinforcement.

Method

Ty's training is force-free and rewards-based, using food, play or anything else a dog values. Her toolbox includes markers such as a clicker, capturing, luring, classical conditioning, management and enrichment. She helps with jumping, leash pulling, barking, lunging, stealing items, fear of people, places or things, and dogs that cannot settle.

Services and prices

New clients start with a 90-minute initial consultation, in home or virtual, for $150, which covers a deep dive into the dog's behavioral and physical history and a personalized training plan. Private training packages are four 60-minute sessions for $425 or eight for $850, with video review and unlimited support, and single sessions are $115.
