About Fair Feather Retrievers
About
Fair Feather Retrievers is a gun dog operation on Abbott Road in Barnesville, run by Bobby and Brandy, who its own About page says bought their first Boykin Spaniel together in 2013 and built a training facility to share the work. The site states the business was established in 2015 and added boarding in 2023 in a climate-controlled facility.
Gun dog training
The published gun dog programs are built for hunting, field trials and hunt tests. The site names the specific skills worked: heel, sit and stay alongside retrieving, scent recognition and steadying to shot. Pre-season tune-ups are offered both for dogs that trained there before and for dogs from other kennels, described as a way to refresh a retriever's skills before the season.
Obedience
Obedience is treated as the foundation rather than a side line. The training page says they "specialize in gun dog training for hunting breeds, as well as obedience training for all breeds as an essential foundation", and states that obedience matters equally for family pets.
Also offered
Boarding runs from the same facility, and the site lists breeding alongside training and boarding as one of three ways it works with clients.
