About Fieldstone K9 Academy

A positive-methods program with hands-on roots

Fieldstone K9 Academy is run by a trainer named Stacey out of a property at 4771 Pioneer Trail in Mantua, Ohio. The focus is the full pet-dog range: obedience programs, raising your puppy, problem solving, socialization, behavioral modification, and separation anxiety. Stacey is upfront about her approach in her training videos, noting she used "completely positive techniques" with "tons of praise and rewards for the correct behavior," which signals a reward-based philosophy rather than a correction-heavy one.

Sport background and on-site boarding

The site shows genuine competitive depth: testimonials and notes reference passing a PSA PDC certificate with her own dog Kimber and participating in Cutting Edge WDC group training, plus Saturday group practice. That working-dog-sport background is meaningful context for owners who want a trainer who has actually titled a dog, not just taught manners.

Beyond training, the academy offers boarding for all breeds and sizes and even mentions an Airbnb guest house on the property, so it functions partly as a facility-and-boarding operation. In-person consultations are available. The site doesn't list how many years it has been operating or publish pricing, so prospective clients should ask about program length and rates directly. Overall this reads as a small, owner-operated program where the trainer's own competition experience drives the methods.

What they can help with

Sit, stay, recall and reliable commands, from beginner to advanced.
Early socialization, house-training and first manners for young dogs.
Behavior modification for unwanted or problem habits.
Easing the panic and destruction some dogs feel when left home alone.
Socialization
Structured socialization to build calm confidence in the world.

Fieldstone k9 is the best place to take your dog. I did the puppy boot camp with my gsd Rio drop off and pick up everyday and it was great he learned so much. Stacey def knows what’s she’s doing and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. I also used her for day care and socializing Rio so he gets to play with other dogs and she keeps them paired up well. There’s also boarding which I have used on more than one occasion and it’s spotless in there with great sized pens and cots. You definitely feel comfortable leaving your dog there. I can’t thank you enough for how well you have treated Rio and I over the last year and a half and we will always use you.

We have a full-bred 105-pound Anatolian Shepherd female about 2 1/2 years old that we recently rescued from a shelter in southern Ohio and given the breed and genetic temperament and unknown history (other than she was found in a forested area raising eight puppies), we wanted a trainer with large breed knowledge, education, and experience to help us. We enlisted Stacey’s help in training the dog, Annie, (and us) manners, basic commands, specialized training in assisting one of us with balance, walking, and standing, and in becoming accustomed to city life, including traffic, other dogs, and distractions she probably chased down in the wild and ate.

We cannot say enough about Stacey’s ability to understand Annie and interpret clues about her behavior so as to be able to teach her and guide her in her relationship with us. Annie has thrived under Stacey’s plan and we have learned much about training and working with Annie to improve her life and ours. We receive compliments every day about Annie’s behavior in public places, restaurants, and in the home.

We have recommended Fieldstone K-9 Academy to other dog owners and unqualifiedly recommend Stacey.

I highly recommend Fieldstone! I have a 1 1/2 old German Shepherd named Raven. Before working with Stacy, my dog was very reactive towards other dogs during walks and would go crazy in the car if she saw a dog. We haven’t even finished the program yet, and now I can walk past other dogs without any issues and our car rides are peaceful ones. Stacy takes excellent care of my dog, taking her on field trips and ensuring she listens to commands. It has been an incredible experience. Stacy answers every question and always finds solutions to any problem. ❤️ Thank you for everything Stacy ❤️

Stacey is great at what she does! We went for basic obedience training and learned so much. I loved seeing my dog get excited every morning to go to her training lessons. I never thought my dog would be capable of going to Home Depot and actually sitting still! Now with our new baby I don’t have to stress if my dog will be misbehaving or not listening. We’re so much happier and confident because of Stacey’s training!

I cannot thank Stacey enough for the amazing work she did with my 5-month-old miniature dachshund. It is incredible how much Hank learned over 5 weeks. The knowledge, patience, and care Stacey showed made all the difference. Hank would run down the driveway with excitement every morning to see his Miss Stacey 🙂 From day one, it was clear that Stacey is passionate about helping dogs and their owners. If you're looking for a dog trainer who truly cares and gets results, I highly recommend Fieldstone K9 Academy!
