About FitHound Puppy & Dog Training

About

FitHound is the training business of Cari Reed, a certified professional dog trainer offering group and private lessons with force-free, positive reinforcement methods. Group classes meet at a veterinary hospital in Buckeystown, and private lessons are held outdoors in Walkersville, with in-home sessions depending on availability and location.

Classes and lessons

Puppy Kindergarten follows the Operation Socialization curriculum for puppies 8 to 18 weeks, covering socialization, basic manners, potty training, crating and puppy nipping, and Puppy Too continues for older puppies. Canine Life Skills levels teach coming when called, settling, leave it, polite greetings and loose leash walking in small classes, and K9 Nose Work runs at several levels. Private sessions address manners, leash pulling, fearfulness and other issues.
