About Fowler K9 Academy

Veteran-owned training in Middleton

Fowler K9 Academy is a dog training company in Middleton founded by a military and law enforcement veteran. Its stated aim is to harness and enhance a dog's instincts, intelligence and ease of control so it can do meaningful work for its owner, and to build a strong family bond through obedience training, sports and practical, everyday training. The academy also evaluates dogs' working ability with the original purpose of each breed in mind.

The trainer

Owner and lead trainer Jacob Fowler is a U.S. Navy veteran who served for over 6 years before becoming a police officer. He later became a police K9 officer, completed patrol and narcotic K9 courses at the Inglis Police Dog Academy and worked a dual-purpose protection and detection dog for the next 6 years. His qualifications include a Working Dogs of America Level 1 Protection Sports Decoy rating, and he credits himself with coaching over 15 teams to WDA obedience and protection sport titles.

Training options include group obedience training, private puppy and dog training, board and train packages and protection dog training. The academy says it stays available for questions and follow-up advice after training. Hours run Monday to Friday 9 am to 8 pm and Saturday 10 am to 1 pm.
