Obedience and behavior training in Hudson

Freedom K9 Academy is a Hudson dog training business at 98 Old Derry Road, focused on obedience, behavior correction and real-life results for dogs of all breeds and ages. Owner and trainer Alyssa O'Donnell came to training through behavior challenges with her own dog and brings a background in leadership, fitness and education to a structured yet compassionate approach. Programs include owner education so families can keep training at home, and training takes place in real-life environments.

Programs

The Foundations (on-leash) program teaches heel, sit, stay, down, place, come, release and thresholds, and the Advanced (off-leash) program builds reliability around distractions in public settings; a Complete Program combines both. Behavior Modification addresses pulling, biting, jumping, separation anxiety, barking, house soiling, aggression and more. Day School mixes reinforced obedience, agility practice, hydrotherapy, treadmill workouts and rail trail walks. There is also The Complete Puppy Guide for puppies 8-16 weeks, therapy dog training, agility, and AKC programs including Canine Good Citizen, Trick Dog and S.T.A.R. Puppy.
