About Georgia Dog Gym

Who they are

Georgia Dog Gym is a training center in Rome run by owner and head trainer Cyndy Douan, who the site describes as a founding member and past president of the International Association of Canine Professionals and an IACP Certified Dog Training Instructor. The site says the staff carry more than sixty years of combined experience across canine health, behavior, training and well-being, and that the business has held IACP professional membership since 2006.

What you can book

The services page lists training classes, private lessons, puppy camps, board and train, and an online housetraining course, with a basic training group class advertised with a fixed start date. Alongside the pet-owner work the gym runs a dog-sports program: agility, nose work, rally, tricks, freestyle dance and dog parkour each have their own page.

The sport side

The business calls itself Northwest Georgia's training center for a wide variety of dog sports and says it has mentored dog-sport teams to national and worldwide success, and that a number of trainers working in Northwest Georgia today started as pet owners in its classes.
