About GoDoG – Dog Walking & Sitting Brooklyn

GoDoG has provided dog walking and pet sitting in Brooklyn since 2008, working from 681 4th Ave. It is insured and bonded and describes over fifteen years of operating in the same neighborhoods.

The training arm

Dog training and behavior modification is one of its four named services, and its stated specialism is precise: helping dogs who struggle with social cues, leash reactivity, confidence, or staying grounded on walks. Those are all problems that show up on the street rather than in the living room, which is a natural fit for a company whose staff are already out with the dog every day.

How the walking supports it

Walks are curated small groups designed around the dog's emotional, physical and social needs, with dogs matched by temperament, energy and neighborhood to make the pack calm and safe. The site is explicit that its standard goes beyond leash-on, walk, bladder relief, home again – naming the dog's health, diet, behavioral skills and relationships with people and other dogs as things it takes responsibility for. For a dog with mild social difficulty, a carefully matched small group walk is itself a socialization program.

Where it works

The published neighborhoods are Park Slope, South Slope, Greenwood, Gowanus, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Downtown, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Crown Heights West (ProCro) and Prospect Heights.

The rest

Dog walking, dog sitting including overnight stays, cat sitting and dog training, with published policies and procedures and a team page. Anyone booking specifically for behavior work should ask which member of the team leads it, as the site names the service rather than the trainer.
