What they offer

Golden Heart Canine is a family-operated training and boarding business near Olathe, run by Becca Murphy and her husband Michael. Its main service is board and train. The 30-day program teaches eleven obedience commands both on and off leash and includes an initial consultation, a send-home lesson and two follow-up lessons; the site says the four-week program is required for aggression control. A two-week board and train is offered as an immersion program for owners who have less time to lay a foundation themselves.

Boarding

Boarding includes daily care, exercise and playtime, and touch-up training for graduates of the training programs. The services page notes boarding is only open to board and train graduates at this time.

About the trainer

Becca Murphy grew up in Montrose and started training dogs through a local 4-H group. The about page says she attended Triple Crown Academy in Hutto, Texas (now Starmark Academy) and became a Certified Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist in 2008, and that she competes in agility, competition obedience and rally obedience.
