About Good Dog Fetch
Force-free training in Dallas
Good Dog Fetch is the Dallas training business of Robin Ashman-Terrell, a force-free certified professional dog trainer with over 21 years of experience in training, rescue, behavior management and animal therapy. She teaches basic manners and social skills with science-based positive reinforcement, using treats, toys and pats as rewards, and avoids choke chains, prong collars, shock collars, force and intimidation. Kids are welcome to train their dogs in class or in private sessions, with parents learning the same cues alongside them.
Credentials
Robin holds the CPDT-KA, Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP) and Certified Separation Anxiety Pro Behavior Consultant (CSAP-BC) certifications, is a Licensed Family Paws Parent Educator and a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and has been a Pet Partners member with her therapy animals for over 20 years.
Classes
Basic Manners covers sit, stay, come when called and social skills, with classes capped at 8 dogs. Basic Manners 2/CGC proofs greetings, loose-leash walking and recall and prepares dogs for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Tune-up Training meets in varied locations, One Hour Workshops cover single topics such as recall, leash walking or nail trimming, and One Hour Adventures take well-mannered dogs on a trolley ride, to a bookstore or to brunch. Private sessions are also offered.
