About Gooddogz Training

What they offer

Gooddogz Training is a dog training studio on Stroudwater Street in Westbrook run by a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant who made the switch to dog training in 1993. It serves Greater Portland in person and clients elsewhere online.

Classes and private training

Group classes meet at the Westbrook studio and include AKC Star Puppy, a Foundation class and field-trip classes for advanced dogs. Private sessions cover puppy basics such as house training, coming when called, jumping on guests, door dashing and preparing a dog for a baby, and can use outdoor locations around the area. A three-week day training package combines sessions with the dog and transfer sessions with the owner.

Behavior help

Behavior consultations, in person or online, are for dogs with aggression, fear-based behaviors, separation anxiety and reactivity. The trainer is a certified Behavior Adjustment Training instructor and works with fearful, rescue and reactive dogs and most forms of aggression.

Service and therapy dogs

The business helps owners task-train and tune up service dogs, is candid about how hard that is, and also offers therapy dog classes.
