About GoodLife Kennels
Gun dog training and AKC titles
GoodLife Kennels is a gun dog kennel with its south location on West Rock Creek Road in Raymond and its main location in Fullerton, Nebraska. It describes its approach as "Passionate, Patient, Persistent Dog Training", building on the old knowledge of training dogs with new communication technology and letting owners be more involved in their dog's training. The kennel's goal is to produce top field trialing and hunting dogs, and it also guides hunts, teaming with The Kingdom Outfitters.
Programs
Basic hunting dog training covers come, heel, hup (sit), quartering a field, flushing a bird, chasing the fall and retrieving to the handler on land or water, for upland and waterfowl hunts, and prepares dogs for AKC Hunt Tests at the junior or senior level. The Field Trial Competition Team builds competition skills such as steadiness to wing and shot, running and honoring in a brace and blind retrieves. Cristy Joy guides owners along the AKC title pathway with a structured, positive approach, from AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy and Canine Good Citizen to Community Canine, Urban CGC, FIT DOG, Trick Dog and Virtual Home Manners.
Boarding
Boarding is $25 a day at a facility on 12 acres about 10 miles north of Lincoln, with heated kennel floors, covered outdoor runs, enclosed day pens and walks in the tall grass. Current vaccinations, including Bordetella, are required.
