What they offer

Green Valley Canine is run locally by owner Roger Nelson, who works with his wife Helaine. Its services page lists in-home private obedience training, puppy training, basic and advanced obedience, behavioral counseling and rattlesnake avoidance training. It also offers dog walking and pet sitting.

Rattlesnake avoidance and CGC

Rattlesnake avoidance is run as private or group sessions, and the clinics begin in early spring and continue until the snakes hibernate. Both owners are AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluators, and the business partners with the Green Valley Animal League to evaluate dogs whose owners want them to visit local nursing and assisted living facilities.

How they train

The about page says training combines exercise, leadership, obedience and socialization, using dog psychology and positive reinforcement. Roger describes himself as a certified trainer and a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals.
