About Gulf Coast K9 Dog Training
Balanced training on Waterline Road
Gulf Coast K9 Dog Training is a small, locally owned Bradenton business at 16611 Waterline Rd that serves Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa and nearby areas. It believes in a balanced form of training, treats every dog as an individual, and sets program length around the owner's goals rather than a fixed two weeks. The trainers describe themselves as continued students of the craft who hold certifications in pet and sport dog training and compete with their own dogs.
The owner
Owner Jillian Vogel began training because of her rescue dog Mila, who developed serious reactivity toward other dogs after adoption. After working with Tyler Muto and his staff at K9 Connection, she volunteered at a local shelter, fostered dogs, left a 9-year career as a high school teacher and apprenticed at K9 Connection under Tyler Muto.
Programs
Day training lets dogs train during the day and go home at night. Board and train, puppy training, puppy group classes and play care round out the core menu, along with aggression rehab, individual obedience and off-leash training with distractions. Sport classes in disc sports, scent work, tricks and sport obedience run in small group or semi-private format.
What owners say
One client wrote that Jillian "was able to transform our boy's behavior. Fisher can now go to restaurants and outdoor events with no problem."
