Hansen's K9 Kennels, also called Hansen Kennels & Training Center, is a family-owned boarding, training and German Shepherd breeding facility in Scandia, MN, serving the Saint Croix and Forest Lake area. The family has raised and trained Working Line German Shepherds since the early 1950's, and the business credits itself with over 50 years of K9 experience.

Training and boarding

The center offers professional dog training, including board and train, and dogs can be trained while they stay. It describes itself as a small kennel that accepts only 2 or 3 dogs at a time, with over 15 acres of fenced grassy play areas, wooded walking trails and private indoor rooms. Boarding starts at $55.00 a night.

Breeding

Hansen's also breeds Working Line German Shepherds, with only 1 or 2 litters a year, aimed at health, temperament and drive for Schutzhund, police, search and rescue, therapy and protection work. Denise Hansen entered her first Schutzhund event in 2011, and puppies come with a health guarantee and AKC registration. Young dogs in training are sometimes available.
