About Happy Hounds Dog Training LLC

Positive reinforcement training in Newfane

Happy Hounds Dog Training LLC is a dog training business in Newfane, working by appointment, with the motto "A Happy Hound Makes A Happy Home". It uses positive reinforcement such as treats, toys and praise to encourage desired behaviors, which it notes is the training method of choice among veterinary behaviorists, with the goal of building the relationship and a dog's confidence.

Shelter dogs and enrichment

Shelter dogs were the inspiration for starting Happy Hounds, and it focuses on helping owners through the challenges of bringing a new shelter dog home. Enrichment is central: setting up a dog's environment around its individual needs and natural behaviors, through exercise, sniffing or even music. Owners who recently adopted from WCHS get a 20% discount on any service. Alongside dog training, it offers a Day'N'Train program and a shop with custom collars and leashes.
