High Plains K-9 Connections is a family-owned training and boarding facility at 16876 Longs Peak Rd in Greeley, run by founder and head trainer Megan Schriefer and her husband John. Group classes run one hour a week for six weeks: Puppy Kindergarten (combined with the AKC STAR Puppy program), Beginning Obedience 1 and 2, plus AKC Canine Good Citizen and Urban CGC courses and tricks classes. A drop-in puppy socialization hour is open to everyone. Private lessons and behavior modification training are also offered. Board-and-train programs start at a 3-week minimum for new clients, with a longer 5-week option that adds off-site training in real-life situations; owners get a private session at pickup.

The home page advertises "Reward-Based Training Methods," while the Beginner 1 class description says it will "implement corrections" to teach dogs what no means. Classes are often held outdoors with real-life distractions.

The site says Megan has been an AKC evaluator since 2010, graduated from the Karen Pryor Academy professional dog trainer program in 2014, and added trick dog training in 2020.
