About Eisern K9s

What they offer

Eisern K9s is a dog training business based near Centerplace in Greeley, co-owned by trainers Parker Clements and Lark Holland. Its Family Dog Center runs a ladder of courses (AKC STAR Puppy, Good Citizen, Advanced Citizen and Urban Citizen), each ending in the matching AKC test, taken as group or private classes. The Performance Dog Center prepares dogs for AKC Obedience and Rally, with intro courses in conformation and scent work, and moves into off-leash work at the higher levels. Board-and-train programs of 21 to 60 days cover obedience and off-leash training, with separate behavior modification courses and board-and-train programs for reactivity, aggression and resource guarding. Eisern K9 Service Dogs offers service dog foundations classes and board-and-train options, and a short e-collar course is available.

How they train

The site describes "a science-based reward-and-correction system" and calls its trainers balanced: they use treats or toys with leashes and flat collars, or corrective collars such as prong collars and e-collars, depending on the dog. Board-and-train programs take one dog per trainer and include go-home lessons. Owners must attend private and group lessons and do homework between them.

Good to know

The site says it has no facility; private lessons happen in your home or at Greeley West Park. It says Parker is a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. Call 970-502-6182 to join the waitlist or book.
