About Highpoint Dog Training LLC

Relationship-based training on a property near Elgin

Highpoint Dog Training describes itself as "providing personalized, relationship-based dog training to the northwest suburbs of Chicago." Its training page says the business "is located near Elgin, IL, on a large property with accommodations for boarding and a dedicated indoor training space."

Three stated values

The About page names Relationship, Communication and Teamwork as the core values, arguing that "behavioral struggles often erode the relationship between dog and person" and that rebuilding that relationship "is key to long term success in training and elsewhere."

Programs and published rates

A consultation is the starting point for every program: the site describes it as a conversation about the dog, home, schedule and goals that produces a customized training plan, usually lasts between an hour and an hour and a half, and is a flat fee of $100. Private lessons are run as a team with the family, most commonly one two-hour session once a week, and include hands-on instruction, demonstration, practice for each family member and homework. Rates published on the training page are $100 per hour for one dog, with $1,140 for 6 sessions, $1,480 for 8 and $1,800 for 10; for two dogs the rate is $150 per hour, with $1,740, $2,280 and $2,800 for the same packages. Board and Train has a two-week minimum, with daily training, exercise, meals and enrichment, and the training transferred back to the owners through lessons during and after the stay. Published Board and Train prices are $2,000 for 2 weeks, $2,800 for 3 and $3,500 for 4 for one dog, and $3,000, $4,200 and $5,250 for two dogs.

The trainer

The About page credits Noah with being "professionally involved in dog care and training since 2018" and with graduating from The Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers in 2020 after completing a 6 month immersion program. It names sport dogs, working dogs, giant breeds, high energy breeds and service dogs as areas of particular interest, and says all sizes and breeds are welcome.
