About Ironwood Dog Training

What they offer

Ironwood Dog Training is a training studio serving Phoenix and the surrounding area from Scottsdale. Its programs run from puppy training and basic obedience to advanced obedience, an on-site board and train for serious behavior issues and busy owners, protection dog training and competition training.

What it works on

The site lists leash pulling, dog-on-dog reactivity, aggression toward other dogs or people and inappropriate bathroom habits among the problems it addresses.

How they train

The trainers describe themselves as positive reinforcement based, rewarding desired behavior while gently correcting unwanted behavior, and applying classical and operant conditioning. The founder, Robert Santana, also works as a strength coach and dietitian.
