About Janet Smith Dog Training

About

Janet Smith Dog Training L.L.C. bills itself as "Greater Lansing's Dog Training Expert." The site states that "Janet Smith has over 25 years experience working with pet owners, she is the former owner of Good Dog! Training in Haslett Michigan. Now she is back in Lansing with personalized pet services." Her published motto is "Dogs should be trained, people should be happy!"

How the training works

The structure is in-home first, public second: "Janet arrives in your home for a series of In Home Lessons and then it is followed up with Public Practice sessions." She is clear about the division of labor – "I don't train your dog for you – we train your dog TOGETHER" – and the program is chosen jointly "based on your goals and your dog's personality."

What a package includes

Published package contents are all training equipment, "an extensive video library, a private client Facebook group and lifelong training support," with cost agreed up front: "You will know upfront exactly what training will cost." For owners who want to try before committing, "I offer a single session visit in your home for $125, that payment can be rolled into any training program you choose."

Group classes

Group classes run at two locations: "Janet Smith is now offering Group Dog Training Classes in Lansing and Okemos Michigan! The classes are held at the Doggy Day Care and Spa." Published class types are puppy socialization and adult dog household obedience. The Doggy Daycare and Spa site confirms the arrangement from its side, listing training classes "offered at both our Lansing and Okemos locations" and naming Janet as the instructor.
