About Janet Vera Professional Dog Training

About

Janet Vera specializes in canine behavior and training and has spent over a dozen years on complex cases, including hoarding, abuse, neglect and aggression. The site says she has been a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) since 2011, and she consults for local rescues and shelters.

Services

All private training begins with a two-hour behavior consultation. Play and Train uses structured enrichment such as scent work and problem solving to build a dog's ability to regulate and recover. From Cower To Empower is a six-lesson program for a single behavior challenge, practiced by the whole family, and hourly lessons follow the consultation for tweaks and new skills. Station training on a platform helps with polite greetings and impulse control.
