About Jens Gentle Dog Training, LLC

Services

Two things, both delivered at your house. The training service is headed "One on One Dog Training" and described as "Convenient one on one training in the comfort of your own home!", and the site explains that "Working one on one with the trainer allows for more individualized instruction tailored to you and your dog's specific needs." The second service is "Therapeutic Canine Massage": "Massage Therapy can have many benefits for the overall wellness of your canine companion. Some of these benefits include stress relief, increased mobility, and increased flexibility." That is bodywork for your own dog's comfort – it is not therapy-dog certification and should not be read as such.

Where they work

Based at "Churchville, VA 24421", west of Staunton, working "throughout the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia". There is no facility: the trainer travels to you, which is what most of western Augusta County actually needs.

Good to know

The site says "Jennifer Bishop is a certified dog trainer"; ask which body certified her when you call. The business states it is "Licensed and Insured!" and advertises a standing rescue discount: "Did you adopt your dog from a rescue organization or local shelter? Receive a 20% discount on all training services as a thank you for saving the life of a homeless pet." Proof of adoption is required. The stated approach is "a gentle, balanced, and positive approach to training".
