About Journey K9
Relationship-based behavior work
Journey K9 is a dog training business serving Emmett, Boise, Meridian, Kuna, Eagle, Star, Nampa, Caldwell and the wider Treasure Valley. Trainer Kolleen describes an approach that "combines structure and heart," built on mutual trust, clear communication and respect rather than dominance or quick fixes. The business says it is backed by over 20 years of experience. It works with leash pulling, reactivity, aggression toward dogs or people, fear, separation anxiety, excessive barking, recall problems and house soiling.
Programs
Puppy Headstart starts with four days of overnight training between 10 and 16 weeks, covering basic commands, crate training, handling and socialization, and the pup returns at six months for formal training. Two- and three-week ranch board and trains on a six acre ranch cover polished obedience, off-leash reliability and intensive work with fear, anxiety, reactivity and aggression. Personalized owner coaching through private lessons is reserved for easygoing dogs with minimal training needs. Group classes are also offered, and owners can book a free call.
