Who runs it

Just Push Play Dog Training is Aubrey's business: "Hi, I'm Aubrey, the owner and trainer behind Just Push Play Dog Training." Her own dog Aero, an Australian Shepherd, is the reason it exists. Aero came home with health problems, developed fear and reactivity, and was worked back to confidence "through patience, positive reinforcement, trust, and consistency." The site says Aero is now "an accomplished agility dog."

Programs and prices

Four structured four-week programs are published, each with a week-by-week outline: Puppy Training at "$130," Obedience at "$140," Trick Training at "$140" and Agility Basics at "$180." A single 45-minute personalized session is "$45" in person or "$35" virtually. The puppy program moves from name recognition, a marker word and engagement games through sit, down and recall foundations to leash walking, impulse control and greeting manners. The obedience program covers place, stay, recall, loose-leash walking, heel and work under distraction. A new-owner coaching course covering crate training, potty training, routines and socialization is offered virtually only.

Method

The FAQ answers plainly: "Positive reinforcement with chew toys or treats." Aubrey lists her specialties as "puppy foundations, basic obedience, tricks, agility, and owner education." On aggression, the site is candid that it does not take those cases: "No, I am not prepared enough for that."

Where training happens

"We train at my farm in Jamestown, Kentucky. There is a covered arena with my training supplies, which can be used rain or shine." Virtual sessions are available at $10 off the regular price.
