About K9 Team Training
Who they are
K9 Team Training is a family-owned business at 116 South Road in Germantown, run by Samantha Almeida and Fabian Robinson. The site describes itself as a boarding and training facility rather than a mobile practice, and everything runs by appointment: office hours are Monday to Friday 8-10am and 4-6pm, Saturday 8-10am, closed Sunday.
What they offer
The published menu is obedience training, training camps, agility and boarding. The obedience pitch is aimed squarely at the owner whose dog ignores them once there is something more interesting around — the site lists jumping, chewing, pulling on the leash and barking as the problems it hears about, and describes the goal as a dog that listens "around distractions, even when guests come over," without needing a treat or a leash in hand. Agility is presented as a sport to do together rather than a behavior fix. Boarding runs under the name The K9 Resort.
The facility
This is the part of the site with the most detail, and it is unusual enough to be worth reading if you are shopping around. The indoor hall is 30 feet by 50, heated and air conditioned, floored throughout with a rubber matting chosen for dogs to jump on. Full-size mirrors run along two walls, which the site notes is useful for obedience work. The agility inventory is listed out: multiple wing and wingless jumps, weave poles, a teeter and A-frame that get rotated, and tunnels. For AKC obedience there are regulation broad, bar and high jumps.
Renting the hall
The hall is available to other handlers at $30 per hour with a one-hour minimum, then $15 per half hour after that. Up to three people can share a rental slot at that rate; beyond three it is $10 per additional person per hour. Anyone wanting to teach in the space has to clear it with the owners first, and the house rule on equipment is simple — if a course is set up, leave it, and if you move anything, put it back.
Booking
Lessons are by appointment through the office hours above, or by email. The site also publishes a rolling list of week-long closures through 2026 and into January 2027 when the office is shut for training appointments and boarding arrangements, so it is worth checking those dates before planning around a program.
