About Katie’s Canine Klubhouse

Approach

Katie's Canine Klubhouse frames training as a two-way job: "Any successful training program (group style, one on one, or specialized training) involves both the dog and the owner." Its training page argues that "without communication skills between the dog and its family, the environment and the dog can become unstable," and that "Learning the basic skills it takes to communicate with your dog will help develop healthy habits and manners for a happy and stress-free home environment." Because "each dog and its family are different," the Klubhouse says it uses "a custom balance of professional and sensible training techniques."

Programs

The training page lists group classes under the headings AKC Canine Good Citizen (6 weeks), AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy (6 weeks), Advanced Life Skills (6 weeks) and Urban Canine Good Citizen (4 weeks), with group training priced at $185. In-home private lessons are listed at $100 for a one-hour single-dog lesson, $120 for a multi-dog lesson and $400 for a five-lesson package, with a mileage charge beyond 25 miles of the facility. Training during daycare is listed at $35 for 30 minutes and $70 for an hour. These prices are published on the site and are noted there as taking effect June 5, 2026 and being subject to change.

Setting

Training sits alongside daycare, boarding and grooming at 5246 Douglas Ave in Racine. The site's own line for the whole operation is: "At the Klubhouse 'we speak dog' and we want to help you do the same."
