Katie's K9 Academy is a dog day training business serving Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Southwest Florida, led by trainer Katie, who spent several years apprenticing under other trainers after adopting a shelter dog with fear and aggression. With day training, the dog trains during the day and comes home every night.

Approach

Katie describes training built on clear communication, structure and consistency, with meaningful rewards and fair, appropriate accountability, tailored to each dog's personality and pace.

Programs

The Puppies Foundation Program runs four days a week for three weeks (12 days) and covers socialization, confidence, basic obedience and impulse control. The Freedom Program for adult dogs runs four days a week for four weeks (16 days) and focuses on practical obedience in real-world settings, with professional e-collar conditioning included. Owners get daily photos, videos and progress reports, personalized homework and a graduation lesson, with lifetime support afterward.
