Lone Star State K9, LLC is a veteran-owned dog training company on County Road 7718 in Devine providing obedience, protection, sport and detection training for both pet and working dog homes. Its facility sits on the owners' private property, and clients receive weekly updates, two free sessions after their dog goes home and a lifetime of support.

The owners

Dakoda Riddle served in the United States Air Force from 2009-2020 as a military police K9 handler, trainer and kennel master, then trained new military working dogs for the Department of Defense, where he became Lead Trainer. He is a nationally certified decoy for PSA (Protection Sport Association). Co-owner Shiloh manages the business and competes in dock diving, FASTCAT and agility with her own dogs.

Method and services

The team describes itself as balanced trainers, using treats and aversive tools to set clear boundaries, reward wanted behavior and correct unwanted behavior, with motivation and drive building behaviors. Services include board and train packages, private sessions, boarding, bite work, CGC evaluations and protection/detection evaluations.
