About Maine Refined K9

What they offer

Maine Refined K9 is a Holden training business whose head trainer describes more than eight years of relationship-based training. Programs run from foundational obedience to off-leash reliability and advanced obedience, along with customized problem solving for behavioral challenges, and each dog gets an individualized plan.

Programs

Board and train comes in three- and four-week programs: the shorter one covers sit, stay, down, heel on leash, place, good manners and public access training, and the longer one adds recall and heel off leash. Both end with one-on-one sessions for the owner. Hourly private sessions and protection training sessions are held at its facility. The day school lets owners drop a dog off for up to eight hours of obedience training, play, socialization with other dogs and public access training, and a plain day care option is also listed.

Specialized work

The site also offers specialized service dog training and protection training for owners looking for advanced working dog development.
