About Mecca Canine

E-collar obedience from Plano

Mecca Canine is a Plano dog training business run by trainer Ismael, known to clients as Ish, under the motto "Obedience You Can Take Places." The business points to 14 years and hundreds of dogs. Its six-phase Mecca Canine Method starts by building trust, motivation and an enthusiastic recall with a charged clicker before e-collar conditioning begins, aiming for reliable off-leash freedom. Coaching is handler-focused, teaching owners presence and leadership alongside the dog.

Programs and prices

Board and train is the signature program: 4 weeks starting at $4599 for foundational obedience, 5 weeks from $5199 for reactivity and confidence work, and 6 weeks from $5,799 for high-drive and working-line dogs or severe behavior issues. Each includes an e-collar to keep, 5 private sessions, handler coaching in public, video updates and ongoing support. Group classes meet in Plano on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 7:15AM, with a Foundation class and an Intermediate off-leash class, at $95 per drop-in session or $279 a month with pack walks. Problems addressed include leash pulling and reactivity, barking, jumping, dog aggression, resource guarding, separation anxiety and recall.

What owners say

One owner wrote that Ish trained their dog-reactive German Shepherd into "the sweetest most obedient dog with a wicked recall."
