About Mountain Spirit K9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation
Relationship-based training in the Treasure Valley
Mountain Spirit K9 offers relationship-based, psychology-first dog training in Meridian, Boise, Eagle and the surrounding area, plus virtual training. Founder and lead trainer Alexandria Bedoya came to dog training from a career as a physical therapist; she brings a "medical-model mindset" from her work as a Doctor of Physical Therapy and completed education courses with Method K9, studying balanced training with a focus on fear, aggression and reactivity. Mountain Spirit K9 cites "5+ Years in Business" and a "2025 Ranked Best Dog Trainer Eagle, ID" distinction.
Method
The approach is balanced: owner education, food, play and clear boundaries, built on "Love, Trust and Respect." Off-leash work uses E-Collar Technologies tools, introduced gradually.
Programs
Every dog starts with the Foundations Package of private, one-on-one training in the home. From there, owners choose a hybrid route of more private sessions plus day trains, suited to puppies and nervous dogs, or board and train, which the team calls the best option for off-leash reliability and serious behavioral rehabilitation. Puppy training is available in home or as board and train. Graduates can join pack walks and vacation boarding.
What owners say
One client wrote: "Her knowledge and calmness is inspirational for dog and owner."
