About Mutts Nuts

What they offer

Mutts Nuts offers in-home and on-location private dog training around Highlands Ranch, alongside pet sitting. The trainer, Gemma Hanekom, is originally from England, and the about page says she brings more than three decades of dog training experience and has founded and run dog training schools in the UK.

Training

Training starts with a free phone consultation, followed by an in-home private session that goes through the dog's history, the behaviors to change and the owner's goals to build a personalized plan. Puppy training starts at home with age-appropriate training, safe socialization and the right amount of exercise. Follow-up sessions continue the plan, and current clients can book short virtual support sessions. The prices page lists each session and charges mileage outside the covered area.

About the trainer

Gemma has competed in obedience, agility, breed showing and flyball, including at Crufts, and is particularly keen on helping owners build foundations for prospective sport dogs. The site lists an ACAI qualification with “First Class Honours” (British spelling theirs) and a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor Scheme agility certificate. The team also offers overnight pet sitting and drop-in visits.
