About My Best Friend Obedience

What they offer

My Best Friend Obedience runs positive reinforcement group classes and private training for dogs of any age, with class locations in Chatsworth, Tarzana and other parts of the Valley and Ventura County. Classes cover puppy training, basic to advanced manners, AKC obedience, rally, tricks, nose work and scent work, urban dog skills, canine freestyle and classes for reactive or growly dogs.

Private training

Private sessions take place in your home or at a class location, and the business says it specializes in behavior modification for problem areas. It also offers AKC testing.

Approach

The stated philosophy is to teach dogs what to do rather than only what not to do, using positive reinforcement while still saying no, and to help owners meet their dogs' needs through exercise, training and teaching the dog to settle at home.
